Slowly but surely this wedding season is coming to a close. I am looking forward to some much needed down time but as usual there is much that needs to be done. I can't think of a better way to spend this time, except in total prep mode for next bridal season!
Brides often ask me a lot of questions about the brands of makeup that I use, should they get airbrushed or traditional makeup or what makeup looks best on their eye shape. Don't get me wrong, all of these are great questions, but what about skin care ladies? Much emphasis is put on the eye makeup and yes the eyes are beautiful and should be duly highlighted. However, what good is a bang up eye makeup application if your skin-even when thoroughly covered in makeup-is in bad shape?
You CAN achieve improvement in most , if not all, skin types IF you follow a good skin care routine. Notice I said routine, this implies doing something repetitively over a course of time-this is where many people fail. Skin care, to be effective, needs to be done am and pm, at a minimum of 6 weeks. The longer a routine is followed the better the result-so get started today! Talk to your Dermatologist, Plastic Surgeon or Esthetician as soon as possible. Make best use of your trial makeup run and ask your makeup artist what skin tips and tricks they can share with you. You will not regret the choice you made to prepare your skin-it's a gift that keeps on giving long beyond your wedding day!
